Trailmarker is an independent editorial site that compares debit cards and money apps for families. We do not offer banking services, financial advice, or investment products.

Email address. If you subscribe to our Field Notes newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send it to you.

Anonymous analytics. We collect basic, aggregated data about how the site is used: which pages are visited, approximate country, and device type. This helps us improve the guide and fix problems.

What we do not collect. We never ask for financial information, account numbers, debit card numbers, Social Security numbers, or dates of birth. We cannot access any account you open with a partner bank.

Our site is written for parents and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us, please email us and we will delete it.

We use your email address only to send the Field Notes newsletter. We never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing.

Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending emails immediately and remove you from the active list.

Newsletter. Our newsletter is delivered through beehiiv, which stores subscriber email addresses on our behalf. beehiiv's own privacy policy governs how it handles that data as a processor.

Affiliate links. Some links to partner banks and apps are affiliate links. Partner networks may set cookies so a referral can be credited to Trailmarker. These cookies do not give us access to your account or personal information.

Analytics. Our analytics are anonymous and aggregated. We do not use them to identify individual readers.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Just send a request to trailmarkercontact@gmail.com and we will respond as quickly as we can.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. We encourage you to review this page occasionally so you know how we are protecting your information.
